HOW TO RUN A FORWARD-LOOKING SCHOOL - BEST FINNISH PRACTICES FOR SCHOOL LEADERS
In developing countries, efforts have been made to bring children to school. However, learning outcomes in schools are often poor. The World Bank and Unesco have identified this as one of the key areas for development.
The Finnish school system has been seen as a good example of a solution to the learning crisis. A key takeaway in this regard is the country’s success in the development of school management. The purpose of this publication is to consolidate leading research and practical experience from Finland into an English-language publication that serves school developers all over the world.
The book presents models for school development and identifies appropriate community-based leadership approaches for schools.
Change is not just about educating teachers. Schools also need new tools for leadership management.
The book will be published 2021.
